Israel-Hamas war truce to be extended for few days more

In the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict, a four-day ceasefire took effect last week, followed by a two-day truce extension brokered by Qatar and the USA. Efforts are underway to further extend the truce through mediation. The conflict, which began on October 7th, has persisted for over 55 days with no resolution. Hamas holds hostages, and negotiations aim to secure their release for reunification with their families. Israel has issued a warning that the war will persist until Hamas is dismantled, a stance supported by the USA. The situation remains tense as diplomatic efforts continue.

War-torn Israel and Gaza bear the heavy toll of conflict, with Israel losing over 1,200 lives and numerous properties, while Gaza mourns over 14,000 lives and thousands of destroyed properties. The clashes have also resulted in the significant depletion of weaponry used by both Hamas and Israel.
