NEPSE Records Over 4 Billion Worth of Transactions in Share Market Surge

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has witnessed a general increase. NEPSE index has risen by 9.19 points to reach 2036.01 points.

 

On Tuesday, a total of 97,89,416 shares of 315 companies were traded 72,261 times. NEPSE has reported a transaction worth NPR 4,14,37,83,989.

 

On Tuesday, the Hotel and Tourism Group decreased by 0.68%, Production and Processing Group by 1.46%, and Microfinance Group by 1.14%. However, all other groups have seen an increase in their sub-indices. The Finance Group increased by 2.79%, while Others Group increased by 2.42%.

 

Furthermore, Banking by 0.32%, Development Bank by 0.67%, Hydropower by 0.76%, Investment by 0.69%, Life Insurance by 0.49%, Mutual Fund by 0.50%, Non-life Insurance by 1%, and Trading Group by 0.40% have seen an increase in their sub-indices.

 

Positive circuit has been applied to the share price of Janaki Finance Limited. The share prices of Nepal Finance Limited and Pokhara Finance Limited have increased by 9.99%. Similarly, positive circuit has been applied to the share price of Union Hydropower Limited.

 

Based on the transaction amount and the number of shares traded, Surya Life Insurance Company Limited has witnessed the highest trading activity, with a transaction worth NPR 18,08,10,920, equivalent to three lakh sixty-one thousand shares.
